SME growth grant: call calendar 2024
March 2024 - In 2024 you can again submit a dossier for the SME growth subsidy on three occasions. With this subsidy instrument, the Flemish government wants to support SMEs in Flanders in their growth trajectory. That trajectory must be in line with one of the following important social themes: digitalization, sustainable/circular entrepreneurship, innovation and internationalization.
Grant applications submitted are evaluated based on four evaluation criteria (ambition, transformation, reasoned approach and the need for knowledge and expertise). For each theme, a ranking is made of the applications that achieve the minimum level of ambition.
The grant is awarded for acquiring or procuring the strategic knowledge you need to achieve the growth trajectory. The acquisition of this knowledge can be done by:
- on the one hand, the recruitment of a strategic employee who strengthens your company in the areas in which your knowledge is lacking to realize the growth trajectory
- on the other hand, by seeking advice from a service provider to acquire this missing knowledge.
The minimum project cost (recruitment and/or advice) is 20,000 euros. SMEs can receive a maximum subsidy of 50,000 euros per growth trajectory through the SME growth subsidy. The grant amounts to a maximum of 25,000 euros for advice from one or more external service provider(s) and a maximum of 25,000 euros for the recruitment of one strategic profile. The support rate is set at 50% of the consulting and/or salary cost.
The following three calls are scheduled in 2024:
· Call 1: Wednesday, March 20 through Monday, April 15.
· Call 2: Monday, July 1 through Saturday, August 31.
· Call 3: Wednesday, November 20 through Sunday, December 15.
