What is e-Box Enterprise and why should you start using it today?
June 2026 - Communication between businesses and the government is becoming increasingly digital. A key tool in this process is e-Box Enterprise: your company’s secure digital mailbox.
Via e-Box Enterprise, you receive official communications from Belgian government departments in one central location. These include messages from the RSZ, FPS Finance, RVA, RIZIV or regional and local authorities. More than 460,000 businesses are already using the platform.
One central location for official documents
In e-Box Enterprise, you will receive, among other things, certificates, reminders, payment reminders, notifications and registered letters. Most documents are provided as PDFs. This makes it easier to keep track of important communications without having to search through paper files or various online platforms.
You can also reply to some messages straight away. In the long term, the government plans to expand the system further, so that businesses can send documents and messages to government departments themselves via the same secure environment.
RSZ documents are now also available digitally
The RSZ has now digitised all payment documents. This means that you will receive payment reminders or information about repayment plans directly via e-Box Enterprise. For business owners, this means faster and more organised management of administrative obligations.
Note the retention period
Documents are not available indefinitely in e-Box Enterprise. Each government body determines for itself how long documents are retained. This is often six months. After that, they are automatically deleted. It is therefore advisable to also store important documents locally on your own server, hard drive or cloud environment.
Who gets access?
Organisations can grant multiple employees access to the e-Box. There are two roles:
users, who can view and manage documents
access administrators, who can also grant permissions to other employees.
Logging in is done securely via eID or itsme.
Notifications and integrations
As soon as a new document is available, your company will receive an email notification. You will also receive a warning when documents are about to expire. Companies that receive a large number of messages can also integrate e-Box Enterprise into their own internal systems. This makes the processing of administrative documents even more efficient.
